Wow, what an egg!!! The quality from the wrapping, to the egg itself was outstanding. I have never seen an egg as big and thick as this egg!
It comes in 2 halves which are both different. My favourite is the milk chocolate with puffed rice and brownie in, the chocolate is to die for!! I found the other half which is more dark chocolate quite rich, but that’s because I’m not a big fan of dark chocolate. My husband is however, and has devoured it!
To add to this already amazing egg was a tin of filled chocolates. A handy menu was provided to explain the flavours of these chocolates which really are delicious. The quality of the chocolate is to a very high standard and the flavour of the fillings is just right! The whole family have tucked into this egg - something for everyone and makes a great gift.
I was particularly impressed with the packaging the egg came in. A lovely tin which can certainly be re-used, I will be using mine as a biscuit tin!!
Although a very expensive egg, you certainly get a lot of chocolate!! In fact there is over 1kg of it!! For a special occasion or gift, it will certainly impress! I would not have considered getting an Easter egg from Hotel Chocolat before trying this as I thought it was expensive posh chocolate!! This has changed my mind, as the quality and whole experience of this egg, is well worth it!!
Well done Hotel Chocolat - you have totally smashed it with this egg!! Outstanding quality all round making the perfect Easter gift, that will be the talking point of your Easter!!
