The store I visited was the Superdrug in Westwood Cross, Broadstairs. The store was fully packed with busy shoppers as it was the start of the Christmas session. I was pleasantly surprised to the find the store shelfs to be topped up with all the latest products.
For my shopping trip, I was on the hunt for a new foundation and also shampoo. I was amazed at the wide range of product choices for the shampoo, and especially the choices that were available instore for different hair types; including African, Indian etc.
I used to use Amla Hair oil from a young age, and I usually buy it from the local Asian store and was very much surprised to find it in Superdrug. I also bought Shea Moisture Black Castor Oil Shampoo along with Shea Moisture Raw Shea Conditioner, which were both free from nasty chemicals and seemed to be a more gentle option to the other main stream shampoos and conditioners in the market.
I also tried out the threading services that Superdrug provides, where you have to pay at the till and then take the bill to the counter where they will check and then proceed with the threading.
The threading itself was very quick with minimal pain and discomfort. It was £7, which I found to be reasonably priced. It was located at the back of the store, so it had some level of privacy. To improve this service, I would suggest having an option to pay the threading counter itself, as I feel that this will be quicker and easier.
The queue for the till was very long and if I was not buying anything else from Superdrug, I would have been put off from the long queue and would have decided not to do threading. It would have great if there was some more privacy offered to the customers while threading as currently it is in the clear view of the customer as well as staff.
Overall my experience at Surperdrug was great, and I was pleasantly surprised to find a wide range of products in the store.
The staff is very friendly and welcoming. I will definitely visit the store again, and I saw some great Christmas gift ideas which I think will be very handy during this time of year.
