Nightmarish tales for a truly frightening Halloween

Posted on 19 October 2016

The Halloween period is often seen as being quite eerie, it’s a time of the year that’s thought to allow spirits to move more easily from one planet to ours. It’s also a time of the year that’s tied to the quickening darkness and the change of seasons, setting the perfect scene for frightening and spooky tales alike.

You’ll often find that many of our relatives dig out their spooky family tales and frightening horror stories. We thought we’d take this opportunity to share some of the most frightening tales to give you a real scare this Halloween. You’ll find stories of the unexplained, but incredibly documented ski trip ‘Death in the Dyalov Pass’, the mysterious ‘Crying Girl at Kings Cross Station’ and the disappearing ‘Beast of Hackney Marshes’ to count just a few.
